About Us
BRIEF ABOUT MOTHERLAND SOMALIA
Motherland Somalia is a non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian national organization based in the Jubaland State of Somalia and headquartered in Kismayo. Informed by the need at the time, motherland Somalia was formed on 2012 and is registered with the ministry of Planning, international relations and humanitarian affairs of Jubaland state of Somalia as a humanitarian organization.
Over the years the organization has worked extensively in providing humanitarian support to persons displaced by conflict, person with disability, social protections, Protection of IDPs and reintegration of returnees, legal aids, livelihood programs, youth & women empowerment, women rights, water and sanitation, emergency response, peace and reconciliation, climate change and global warming and environmental conservations programs Motherland Somalia is managed by highly independent local professionals with extensive experience in humanitarian and protection services.
OUR PURPOSE
Informed by the urgent needs & existing gaps and motivated by their access to grassroots, the professionals behind Motherland Somalia envisioned a humanitarian organization that provides humanitarian assistance to the needy and protection of the vulnerable against all sorts of violence.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, returnees and protect the rights of the vulnerable peoples such as: women, girls, children, persons with disability and the youth in Somalia
OUR MISSION
To protect the rights of the vulnerable persons, provide humanitarian/protection and recovery & reintegration assistance to the displaced, returnees and the needy through a participatory process
